Sometimes when I read your "On this date" posts, I begin to realize how ephemeral this life is, and just how old I'm getting! LOL!

By the way, I'm absolutely overjoyed to see that there is a soon-to-be priest in your family!

Thank you. The future priest is the son of my older brother, who is mentioned in the story at the very bottom of the blog page.
He is very excited about the call on his life and I think will be an excellent parish priest.
About the "on this date" items, I find some of them historical - and others hysterical.
