Does this sound like sour grapes on the part of the 'have-nots'?
I don't know if he was directing this at the USA, but it seems like a lot of people want to try and take us down a notch or two ... SOUR GRAPES! JEALOUSY!
OR, is there something in his message we should think about?

This is such a HUGE and complicated subject I wouldn't even know where to begin.
I do agree there is no reason for anyone to be starving in the world today.
As for our consumerism - it stinks. Don't even get this Italian started or she'll still be raving when the moon comes up.
There is certainly a lot of materialism in our culture. It's one of those "if the shoe fits, wear it" kind of things. It worries me that there seems no longer to be much loyalty between employees and employers (as a general rule). It's every person for him or herself.
Melody ...
You are correct in noticing the decline in 'loyalty' between those who employ and those who are employed.
Not a universal phenomenon, but significantly large.
The pope partially addressed that in a talk last week talking about the need for more job security for the employable.
An article is at ww.zenit.org in the October 19th edition.

tara,
AMEN!
What a great production. Do you know more about the Whitestone Co? I assume the name is from Revelations.
It is so easy to get sucked into the consumerism. I hate that line they use in so many commercials saying "You deserve this".
Peggy,
I am not familiar with them before seeing this production ... and while I intend to look and see. what else they've done, I haven't yet.
